Homegoods put out their Halloween decorations and Starbucks is bringing back Pumpkin Spice at the end of the month, so I can be ready for the next season right? Drinking a cup of hot tea in a light sweater, leggings and boots and watching the leaves change is my favorite time of year. Because of my recent job change, I haven't had the chance to take a vacation yet this year, but that is all about to change! I am going to Nashville in October, Europe at the end of the year and moving into my new home in November.
Nashville, Tennessee
Believe it or not, I’ve never been to Nashville! I am a huge fan of country music and have always wanted to explore downtown, have a few beers, listen to the live talent and even try country line dancing! Since I am going to celebrate my mom’s birthday, we took a more elegant twist to the trip. We are staying at the Hermitage Hotel which is about an 8 minute walk from downtown and it is absolutely stunning. We are also buying tickets to do afternoon tea when tickets go live and bought tickets for the Grand Ole Opry!

Getting the Keys to my New Home!
In a few short months, I will be moving into my new home! I can't believe it! I have spent so much time researching, organizing and financially preparing to take on this next big chapter in my life. I've kept an on-going list of the things that I've bought, things I need and a wishlist for after I move in. I have quickly learned that quality furniture is super expensive... and because of that, I refuse to settle for something that I do not love. I would rather move into my new home with some items missing and buy them when the time is right and am confident that the color and style matches the look I am going for. Some of my home design inspirations are below.
I like a modern look with a luxury touch.
Wishlist:
Chandelier in Kitchen - Thinking above Kitchen Table
Gold Bar Cart
Plans for Decorating:
Green is my accent color for the main floor. I haven’t decided whether that is an emerald or sage green yet so TBD!
I have three bathrooms. One half bath on the first floor and two full bathrooms upstairs. I am thinking of making the bottom bathroom blue, and still deciding on the others. I like solid and classic colors so I assume I might find something that I like in Homegoods and go with it.
Books! For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you have seen the variety of luxury books that I have purchased throughout the years. I would like to find a glass coffee table so that I can display them and also use them as statement pieces around my home.
Luxury Tray - Purchased but instead of Chanel, it is Hermes!
As for pictures on the main floor, I have always wanted to get my personal travel photos printed in glass frames and hang them above my couch. Since my main floor’s color is green, I will likely choose pictures that pulled the green out to compliment my floor plan.
Europe
After 3 years, I am finally making it back to Europe!! Europe is one of my favorite places to travel to. I am fascinated by the rich history and architecture and appreciate the different cultures and values that you learn from visiting each place. I have a huge sweet tooth so going to Belgium where they are famous for Belgium Chocolate and Waffles is a dream! In addition to Belgium, I am also traveling to Rome, Florence and Germany. I’ve been to Rome and Florence but never to Germany. There were no direct flights home from Rome and we had a layover in Munich so we figured, why not make the best of it and extend our vacation for a few more days and explore Munich and Nuremberg!
Belgium
Private Tours of Brussels, Leaken, Liege, Ardennes, Flanders, Lille (France), Antwerp and several Christmas Markets throughout.
Rome
Visiting my sister! My family and I have been to Rome several times before, so we are very familiar with the area.
Florence
Shopping! Chanel, Dior, Hermes.. Oh my!
Germany
Private Tour of Munich and Nuremberg
My family and I were supposed to take this trip last year but due to COVID, we had to postpone it. I am excited to finally experience some of the best Christmas Markets that Europe has to offer and share my personal take on it when I get back! If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!
