I have dreamed of the day where I could design and decorate my own home. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to future plans ranging from organizational ideas to luxury floor plans.
I have always loved the feeling of walking into a European styled luxury hotel with gold accents and timeless decor and decoration. With that, I knew that I wanted to aim for as close to that style as possible within my budget.
This Saturday, my family and I walked into the Belfort Furniture store in Dulles, VA and I ran across a brand called Lexington that had the same look that I was aiming for. The upholstered platform bed was the first piece that caught my eye and then the other pieces of the collection shortly fell into place.
I ended up purchasing a bed, a large dresser, and nightstands for the master bedroom and a credenza, end tables, lamps and a coffee table for the main floor.
Shortly after, we drove up to the Tysons Galleria to shop at Crate and Barrel. They had a sale going on for the holiday weekend and I found a gold wine rack, a crystal ice bucket, crystal whisky decanter and a French kitchen marble tray and bowl that I think will compliment the larger pieces that I picked.
I also received great news!!
I was told that the builders are still on track for a November move in date!
Design package:
Below is the package that I picked for my house. I saved these pictures so that I could compare it to any large pieces that I planned on purchasing to ensure that they would blend together nicely.

Next, I am searching for some colorful items! I decided to go with emerald green as my accent color on my main floor so I am searching for decorative pillows, a rug and some wall decorations. Stay tuned to see what I pick next!
