I took a break from exploring DC and spent the weekend in Alexandria. Since summer is coming to an end, I wanted to spend most of the day outside. If you are ever looking for things to do in the area, take a look below!
Tea at Foxtrot - 701 King St, Alexandria, VA 22314
Foxtrot Market has everything you need from grab n' go food, fresh pastries, alcohol, coffee and tea! The location on King Street is the first two-story Foxtrot so we made sure to explore upstairs. I highly recommend stopping by!
Picnic at the Waterfront - 1A Prince St, Alexandria, VA 22314
You can't have a summer picnic without a tasty cocktail right?! Our drink of choice was a limoncello spritz. We set up a blanket at the Waterfront Park and enjoyed a relaxing view of the water.
Dinner at King & Rye - 480 King St, Alexandria, VA 22314
King & Rye is located inside the The Alexandrian hotel. It is known for its southern plates and genuine hospitality. We asked to sit on the patio and got a variety of small and medium plates. We also ordered the Espresso Martini and Sippin' Pretty Cocktail which was very refreshing!
Blackwall Hitch - 5 Cameron St, Alexandria, VA 22314
We ended the night at Blackwall Hitch for one more drink and listened to some live music. They close at 11pm and have a large menu filled with tasty cocktails and wine. I have had dinner here as well and the Flaming Crab Dip and Truffle Fries are 10/10.
Thanks for reading! :)
